Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, for example when signing up for our Newsletter, that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information, may include, but is not limited to:

For both of them user should give his/her consent for using the data and particularly when signing up in the newsletter and when entering the Coadapt site.

This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Newsletter

Through our newsletters we would like to inform our interested followers about the progress of the project. We aim to send out a summary of major progress about 4-6 times per year.

If you are interested, please use the form in the homepage to sign up. Our newsletters are powered by MailChimp, making it easy for us to manage, and easy for you to sign off if you decide to do so.

 

We will not use your personal data for anything else but to inform you about news and updates related to the Coadapt project. We will process your personal data only to send you newsletters via e-mail.

We will process the following categories of personal data:

  • e-mail address (obligatory for signing up)
  • First name (optional for signing up)
  • Last name (optional for signing up)
  • Address (optional for signing up)
  • Phone Number (optional for signing up)
  • Age (optional for signing up)

Your personal data that is forwarded to third parties is only used to provide you with the services mentioned above. We never pass on or sell your personal data for marketing purposes to third parties.

The processing of your personal data is based on your consent or on our legitimate interest.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to info@coadapt-project.eu and the right to object to the use of your personal data for the abovementioned services.

When you do so, Coadapt won't be able to send you any further information based on your consent.

You can opt-out from direct marketing by:

  • following the instruction in each marketing e-mail
  • sending an e-mail to info@coadapt-project.eu

We will retain your personal data for direct marketing purposes until you withdraw your consent or opt out from the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

 

Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Coadapt will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

It is noted that for newsletter reasons, where the Mailchimp is used as the newsletter platform provider, user data are transferred to the US. However, it is also noted that Mailchimp has joined the EU-US Privacy Shield.

 

Disclosure Of Data

Coadapt may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To comply with a legal obligation
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of Coadapt
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
  • To protect against legal liability

 

Security Of Data

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

Period of keeping Data

In line with data protection principles, we only keep your data for as long as we need it for, which particularly refer to cookies and newsletter. Retention periods vary depending on why we need your data, as set out below:

  • Cookies data: store user data for 1 year
  • Newsletter data: store user data until the user unsubscribe from the Coadapt newsletter

 

User rights in relation to Data

The law on data protection gives you certain rights in relation to the data we hold on you. These rights are described below:

  • The right of access. You have the right to access the data that we hold on you. To do so, you should make an access request to the joint controllers
  • The right for any inaccuracies to be corrected. If any data that we hold about you is incomplete or inaccurate, you can request us to correct it
  • The right to have information deleted. If you would like us to stop processing your data, you have the right to ask us to delete it from our systems
  • The right to restrict the processing of the data. If you believe the data we hold is incorrect, we will stop processing the data (whilst still holding it) until we have ensured that the data is correct

  • The right to object to the inclusion of any information for processing
  • The right to withdraw the consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal

Coadapt uses third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, specifically through Google Analytics:

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
